More than two years after the launch of the China-Europe freight train "Yangtze River" on March 25, 2022, more and more "Xianning brand" and "Xianning Made" have gone abroad and gone to the world. At present, 2,328 containers have been shipped with a value of over 380 million yuan, and the main destinations have covered all major European countries.
It is understood that the sea rail train started in Xianning, gathered from the Xianning high-tech zone Jintian tire, stable medical, Baili technology, Zhongjian medical and other enterprises of automobile tires, medical supplies, transmission equipment products a total of 80 containers, the value of nearly one million US dollars, is expected to arrive in Xiamen port within 48 hours, and by sea to Vietnam, Indonesia, India, the United Kingdom and other places.
The return journey of the Xianning Sea railway train will bring back high-quality and inexpensive raw materials such as quartz sand, rubber, tapioca flour, providing more stable and abundant supply channels for enterprises such as Nanbo Glass, Jintian Tire, Loafs Health, Jingyuan Biology, and radiating to promote the coordinated development of international trade, shipping logistics and other industries in the surrounding region.
The first launch of the Xianning-Xiamen Port sea-rail intermodal train marks the formal establishment of the logistics channel between Xianning-Xiamen port and the southeast coastal port, which plays an important role in reducing the city's import and export logistics costs, improving the level of international trade facilitation, and enhancing regional competitiveness.
According to estimates, before the opening of the sea-rail freight train, the enterprise goods are transported to Wuhan Yangluo Port through the automobile, and then transported to Shanghai, Ningbo and other ports along the river, which takes 10 to 12 days, and the comprehensive cost is about 4,000 yuan/container. After the opening of the sea-rail intermodal train, the whole train of goods from Xianning to Xiamen port, taking no more than 2 days, bulk cargo only 4 to 5 days, the transportation time has been reduced by more than half. The comprehensive cost of sea-rail combined transport does not exceed 3000 yuan/container, and the cost is saved by more than 1000 yuan/container compared with the original mode.
At the event, representatives of Xianning International Dry Port, Wuhan COSCO Shipping and Xiamen MTR Sea Transport signed a cooperation agreement to jointly promote the stable development of sea and rail transport channels.
